More about this study:

This study aims to better understand the link between religion and spirituality and the wellbeing of 2S/LGBTQ+ or questioning people in Canada. We also want to better understand how your sense of belonging to 2S/LGBTQ+ communities can influence this link. Please note: participation is open to any and all, no matter whether you are affiliated to a religion/spirituality or not.

Should you choose to participate, your participation would consist of filling out an anonymous survey, which should take approximately 25 to 30 minutes of your time. Questions asked will pertain to your sociodemographic profile, to the importance of religion or spirituality to you, to your sense of belonging to 2S/LGBTQ+ communities, and to your general wellbeing. No risks are expected to be incurred through your participation. However, by participating, you will not only allow us to garner important information on how to better support 2S/LGBTQ+ and questioning people in Canada, especially within the context of various religions and spiritual traditions, but will also allow such organizations to gain insights on how to better support 2S/LGBTQ+ people, seeking health and wellbeing for all. And as if that wasn’t enough, you’ll also be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win one of 4 gift cards with a value of $50!

This study is conducted by a team of researchers from Université de Saint-Boniface and the University of Manitoba (both in Winnipeg, MB). This study’s lead researcher identifies as queer and wishes to frame this project to promote the wellbeing of 2S/LGBTQ+ people living in Canada.

Should you like any more information before or after your participation, please contact Kevin Prada, lead researcher: pradak@myumanitoba.ca, or the research supervisor, Dr. Annabel Levesque (alevesque@ustboniface.ca).

And please share this invitation with all your 2S/LGBTQ+ or questioning friends!
